Worst. Oscars. Ever.

This is a bit of an odd column to write its a pre-review of an event that hasnt happened yet that will run after the event happens, if you can follow that. Its Sunday morning and tonight will be the 93rd annual Academy Awards, and even though not one single statue has been handed out by the time Im writing this, I know well enough what will happen that I can tell you, and it wont be pretty. Heres how it will go (or likely went, since this wont run till the day after).

International Labor Day and the situation of workers in the regime ruling Iran

May 1st is recognized as International Labor Day by countries around the world. On this occasion, trade unions in different countries usually hold rallies in addition to celebrating this day, reviewing the achievements of the past year and plans for next year to improve the situation of workers. In Iran under Khamenei, however, for workers as the most deprived class of society, who are experiencing their most difficult conditions in the last 42 years after the anti-monarchist revolution, this day is no different from other days.

Ibram X. Kendi, False Prophet

As His Second Coming approached, Jesus taught, many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many (Matthew 24:11; all references KJV). That has certainly come to pass. We have had many false secular prophets over the past two hundred years or so, from Marx to Freud to Foucault, whose toxic, dehumanizing ideas have alienated people from God and led to much human pain, suffering, and death. Indeed, they have deceived many.
